4/24/08 12:32am -- If you are having trouble with your DSL connection, please try rebooting your modem and router.  You can do this by unplugging the power cord, and then plugging it back in.

10/5/07 4:14pm -- The dialup accelerator service is working correctly now.  Users will need to repair their accelerator installation by right clicking on the accelerator icon, choosing Repair and following the prompts.

10/4/07 5:41pm -- We are currently experiencing problems with our dialup accelerator service.  Our engineers are working with the accelerator provider to resolve the issue now.

10/2/07 4:14pm -- Due to an Embarq outage in the Kinston area, many PortBridge DSL customers in Kinston are without service.  Embarq is currently working to fix this issue as soon as possible.

10/1/07 2:03pm -- Embarq engineers have restored services in the Kinston area.

10/1/07 11:08am -- Some DSL users in the Embarq area are unable to reach the internet.  This is an outage with Embarq.  Their engineers are aware of the issue and working to correct it.

8/24/07 12:05am -- Thursday Night, August 23, customers may experience loss of Internet connectivity.  This is due to network maintenance from our upstream Internet provider.  The outage should last no more than 30 minutes.

6/1/07 1:12pm -- Several large Internet carriers are experiencing problems which may result in webpages loading slowly.  This is a global Internet problem affecting many networks.  We will update once we have more information.

5/14/07 8:25pm -- All of the network is now operational.

5/14/07 4:34pm -- The outage that is affecting PortBridge DSL and dialup customers has been caused by a bad router on Level3's network.  Level3 engineers are working to replace the router now.

5/14/07 3:18pm -- PortBridge Dialup/DSL users may be able to connect to the internet, although some may experience problems viewing websites. This is due to a problem with our provider, and their engineers are aware of the issue and are working to repair it.  This outage also affects PortBridge's support phone lines so customers are unable to reach support representatives at this time.  Please continue to check our website for further updates.

4/28/07 4:29pm -- Some DSL users that are in the areas of Garner and Goldsboro  may be experiencing slow speeds and intermittent connections.  BellSouth has acknowledged and is working to repair a problem causing this.  Thank you for your patience.

4/11/07 6:48am -- Embarq has identified and corrected the problem in one of their routers that was causing the stability problems with their connection to PortBridge.  Over the last 3 hours th network has been running clean and we will continue to monitor.  Thank you for your patience.

4/10/07 8:17pm -- DSL users in the Sprint/Embarq areas may notice slow or intermittent connections.  We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working with Embarq engineers to resolve this problem.

4/5/07 5:11pm -- BellSouth DSL users may notice intermittency this evening, as of 16:30.  PortBridge is working diligently to assess and resolve this issue.

3/21/07 11:53am -- As of 11:00AM BSDSL users may notice intermittency with connectivity.  We are currently troubleshooting this.  Users may need to power down and power back up the DSL modem to restore service.  

3/19/07 9:39am -- PortBridge's radius server stopped authenticating sessions at 8:30AM on 3/18.  This problem was resolved at 7:40PM on 3/18, sameday.

3/17/07 10:06am -- We are seeing delays in mail delivery today.  Our administrators are clearing up this problem now.

3/14/07 3:00pm -- All DSL troubles have been resolved by 10:00AM today.  

3/9/07 11:56am -- We have replaced all PortBridge hardware (DS3), although this has not resolved the issue.  We are currently working with BellSouth engineers to locate the problem on the BellSouth network.

3/8/07 6:59pm -- PortBridge technicians are currently testing/troubleshooting DSL intermittency.  DSL users may need to reboot (power down/up) the DSL modem and router (if app.) during this period.  

3/8/07 1:55pm -- Users connecting via DSL may notice intermittency connecting this afternoon.  

2/15/07 9:02pm -- Customers with DSL Service in the Embarq telephone areas may notice unstable connections.  Embarq is currently having isolated problems in eastern NC and is working to repair ASAP.

1/4/07 1:35pm -- We expect to have news service restored by 1:50 PM today.

1/4/07 10:48am -- As of mid-morning, news.portbridge.com will not retrieve the newsgroup(s).  

12/9/06 1:31pm -- Due to a system problem, users may see long delays in receiving mail today.  We apologize for this problem and are working to bring it back to normal asap.

12/9/06 11:06am -- We have been working on a problem with our systems that has been causing authentication problems for users logging in.  We are still working through this but all users should now be able to get online.

12/6/06 4:50pm -- Our phone system has been restored.  Customers can now reach support at 1-888-276-4376.

12/6/06 2:34pm -- Phone support is currently down.  Our telephone provider is working to correct the problem but has not provided an estimated time of repair.  Customers can still receive support via email to support@portbridge.com.

9/1/06 5:31am -- On Friday September 1, PortBridge will be performing a network upgrade starting at 5AM lasting until 8AM.  During this time, dialup users may lose their connection and have to re-connect.  DSL users in the Sprint regions may also need to reboot their modem and router.

5/9/06 9:38am -- Due to a major telephone outage in Sprint territory, PortBridge dialup in eastern NC is down.  PortBridge's telephone provider is working to resolve the problem.

3/20/06 4:13pm -- Sprint engineers have resolved the problem and all circuits are operational.

3/20/06 1:33pm -- For Wilson users, Sprint has identified a problem in their tandem switch and are working to fix this.  Sprint has not issued an ETA for repair.

3/20/06 10:42am -- Dialup customers in Wilson may be unable to connect right now due to a telephone carrier problem.  We are working this issue right now and will have more information shortly.

3/13/06 10:38am -- Sprint has repaired the OC-3 trunk that went down, and all customers are now online.

3/13/06 10:00am -- Sprint DSL customers are currently unable to reach the Internet due to a major eastern NC outage with Sprint.  Sprint engineers are working on the problem right now and have given us an estimated time to repair of 30 minutes.

3/13/06 7:16am -- All services are now running normally.

3/13/06 5:24am -- PortBridge will be conducting network maintenance from 5:30AM to 7:00AM this morning, March 13th.  During this time, DSL customers in the Sprint region may be unable to access the Internet.

3/8/06 5:23pm -- PortBridge Internet will be performing a network upgrade on 3/9/06 at 5:00am. The upgrade will take about 30 minutes during which Sprint DSL customers may be unable to access the internet.

3/6/06 9:19am -- All services are up now.

3/6/06 9:02am -- We are currently working on a problem preventing DSL customers in Sprint regions from accessing the Internet.  We are working with Sprint DSL engineers now and expect this to be fixed in less than 15 minutes.

3/6/06 7:58am -- At approximately 8am, our engineers will be performing a network upgrade.  DSL subscribers in the Sprint service area may experience trouble accessing the Internet.  The downtime due to this upgrade should 10 minutes.  Thank you for your patience.

3/1/06 1:57pm -- Our data center experienced a problem this morning from 6:45am - 10:45am.  This problem affected Sprint DSL and dialup customers.  The data center replaced a router and resolved the problem.  All services are now operational.

2/1/06 10:18am -- Our Sprint DSL service will be down for approximately 10 minutes starting at 7:45 AM on Feb 3rd 2006 for a network upgrade.

10/17/05 11:50am -- Our telephone carrier will be doing maintenance on their phone trunks on the morning of Wednesday October 19th.  The maintenance window will be from 12am midnight until 6am.  During this time, customers in the Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Goldsboro areas may be unable to dialup.

10/4/05 11:19pm -- Sprint has resolved the trunk circuit that they were having problems with, so all of our dialin access points are now fully operational.

10/4/05 3:11pm -- Our telephone company has identified a trunking problem with Sprint, this is currently preventing some users in the Wilson and Freemont areas.  We are working with them to get this repaired as soon as possible.

9/30/05 10:04pm -- We are currently experiencing problems with a Sprint DSL router.  ETA for a fix is 1 hour

9/27/05 10:10am -- Due to higher than normal levels of incoming mail, some PortBridge users may see a delay in receiving email this morning.  We are working to fix this as soon as possible, and expect to have this resolved in the next hour.

9/23/05 1:11pm -- We will be doing a network upgrade this afternoon, Friday September 23 2005.  Customers may be unable to surf for up to 5 minutes.

9/17/05 3:50pm -- Mail service has been restored.

9/2/05 10:53am -- A downed Bellsouth trunk circuit in Raleigh has been identified as the reason for customers in Raleigh, Goldsboro and surrounding areas not being able to dial in.  The telephone carriers are working as quickly as possible to repair this problem.

9/2/05 9:47am -- We are currently seeing a phone system problem that is preventing users in the Raleigh and Goldsboro areas from dialing in.  We are working with our service providers to fix this problem ASAP.

4/8/05 12:16pm -- Currently all of our Sprint DSL customers are experiencing an outage.  We have reported this problem to Sprint and their engineers are working to fix the problem.

3/19/05 10:29pm -- The Windows web hosting server is back online and we are rebuilding the configuration.  If you are unable to access your web site, please email support@portbridge.com with your domain name in the subject.  The server has experienced both hardware and operating system problems and we are working diligently to restore all Windows web hosting services back to normal.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

10/10/04 6:39pm -- Power has been restored to the Goldsboro server and all services are operational.

10/10/04 4:13pm -- The Goldsboro dialup server is currently down due to a power failure.  Technicians are currently working to repair this issue, however we do not have an estimated completion time.  Most customers in this area can dialup using our La Grange server with the number 566-5476.  We hope to have this issue resolved soon.

9/17/04 9:13pm -- News service has been restored.

9/17/04 7:30pm -- Newsgroup service is currently unavailable due to power loss at the datacenter of our newsgroup provider.  We expect this to be resolved in the next few hours.

9/1/04 1:39am -- Power has been restored and affected web servers are back to normal.

8/31/04 10:57pm -- Our web hosting servers are down because of power failure.  We are working to repair the problem and we hope to get the servers back up as soon as possible.

7/20/04 10:29am -- We are in the process of upgrading the DSL backbone and Sprint has inadvertently disconnected our old circuit.  The DSL ATM circuit is back up and fully operational.  We anticipate that the upgrade will not cause any interruption in the service.

7/20/04 10:03am -- We are currently experiencing problems with a Sprint ATM circuit.  This outage affects all of our Sprint DSL customers.  We are investigating the problem and hope to have the problem resolved soon.

6/28/04 3:33pm -- Customers dialing into (919) 731-2729 will experience an outage lasting up to 15 minutes between 12:00am and 6:00am on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 due to scheduled upgrade by PortBridge's backbone provider.

4/21/04 4:50pm -- Dialup Service in Greenville is down due to a problem with our backbone provider and service should be restored within 2-4 hours.

4/21/04 10:59am -- Our Dialup circuits are down in the Greenville area.  The problem has been reported and is currently being worked on.  We will update this message as we receive more information.

3/15/04 10:33am -- DSL service has been restored in the Bell South territory.  Bell South needed to reset their equipment.

3/15/04 8:52am -- Our DSL DS3 in the Bell South Territory is currently down.  The issue begain at 8:33AM 3/15/2004.  We are currently working on the issue and we will update this message when we have more information.

2/12/04 12:30am -- We experienced a hardware problem at our Raleigh data center.  The problem was fixed within 30 minutes and now all circuits are operational.

1/19/04 10:09am -- Our dialup circuits were down in the Raleigh/Durham area on Saturday morning.  The trouble was resolved on Saturday around 2pm and all dial-up services are back to normal.

12/10/03 11:29am -- Phone service to PortBridge customer Support is restored.

12/10/03 10:27am -- Phone service to PortBridge customer Support is currently unavailable due to telephone service provider issues.  Please contact PortBridge support by email at support@portbridge.com.  None of the PortBridge internet services are affected by this outage.  

12/6/03 12:37am -- The trouble with the Internet connection is repaired and all services in Greenville are back to normal.

12/6/03 12:05am -- The Greenville circuit to the Internet is down.  We reported the trouble to our telco (Sprint).  There is no ETA at this time.  We will keep you posted as we get new information.

10/23/03 10:31am -- Internet service in La Grange/Kinston is down due to a problem with Sprint's internet connection to this area.  Wilson and Greenville are also affected by this outage.  We are currently working to restore this service.

10/10/03 4:28pm -- Backbone provider repaired circuit.  Everything is working.

10/10/03 3:42pm -- We are currently experiencing problems with our backbone provider in the Kinston/LaGrange Area.  We do not have an ETA for a fix yet.

9/9/03 4:57pm -- BellSouth has repaired the fiber optic line cut and internet service is now restored to our Goldsboro customers.

9/9/03 4:16pm -- BellSouth has isolated the problem affecting our Goldsboro internet service to a cut fiber optic line.  Estimated time of repair is 5:15 pm EDT.

9/9/03 1:31pm -- BellSouth does not yet have an ETA on repair of the Goldsboro service outage.  They do report that the problem has been isolated to 3 host circuits (data connectivity backbones) in Raleigh.  Since all BellSouth data traffic in eastern NC is routed through Raleigh, all services which rely on BellSouth internet backbone connections in the affected area are currently unavailable, including our internet service in Goldsboro.

9/9/03 11:46am -- BellSouth reports a major outage in data services throughout east central NC which is affecting PortBridge dialup service in Goldsboro.  BellSouth is working to resolve this issue but does not yet have an ETA for repair.

7/17/03 4:02pm -- Web/domain name mail hosting for affected customers has been restored.

7/17/03 3:40pm -- Some web sites and hosted domain name email addresses may be affected by a partial system outage in the La Grange network center.  Repairs are currently being performed.

7/14/03 2:23pm -- BellSouth repaired their data connectivity issue, and service in Goldsboro has been restored.

7/14/03 1:34pm -- BellSouth reports a major outage affecting some data services in the Goldsboro area, including our internet service.  BellSouth does not yet have an ETA for repair of this issue.
