Setting Up e-Mail in Outlook Express

  1. Start Outlook Express by double-clicking on its icon on your desktop, or by going to Start | Programs | Outlook Express.
  2. When Outlook Express starts, the Internet Connection Wizard should automatically be launched. If it isn't, go to Tools | Accounts, click on the Mail tab, and click on Add | Mail to launch the Wizard.
  3. The first screen will ask for your display name. Enter your full name and hit Next.
  4. The next screen will ask for your email address. Make sure "I already have an email address that I'd like to use" is selected, then type your Portbridge email address in the box. Be sure to enter your email address in all lower-case letters. Hit Next.
  5. The third screen will ask for email server information. Select "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server", then enter mail.portbridge.com in both the Incoming and Outgoing mail server boxes. Hit Next.
  6. The fourth screen will ask for mail logon information. Enter your entire email address into the account name field. Enter your password in the password field and hit Next.
  7. On the final screen, you'll receive confirmation that your account has been set up. Hit Finish to save what you did, then close Outlook Express. Outlook Express is now ready for use.
